About

The Global Home Education Conference 2027 is a gathering of the global home education community.

GHEC 2027 will be held in Manila Philippines, at the SMX Aura Convention Center.

The conference will open on Wednesday, March 3rd with a cultural Boodlefight Dinner followed by three full days of programming Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The event will conclude with a Closing Reception.

Prior conferences have been held in Berlin (2012), Rio de Janeiro (2016), Moscow and St. Petersburg (2018) and online (2020).

The Global Home Education Conference has four major objectives:

Leadership

Build leadership capacity in members through education and insight.

Relationships

Strengthen relationships between members of the international home education community.

Influence

Expand global influence by connecting policymakers with researchers and families.

Freedom

Advance home education for the host country and region.

Program

The GHEC 2027 program will feature four tracks:

Organization and Leadership —– Research —– Advocacy —– Family

These tracks are designed to reach this building and advancing home education in their nations and regions, those shaping laws and regulations, those conducting home education research, and families living out home education daily.

Location

The main program will be held at the SMX Aura Convention Center.

The venue features two large function rooms for the Plenary sessions and the large Conference Exhibitor hall, along with several workshop room for track sessions and open space for networking and relationship building. The venue is located within a large mall, within walking distance to a variety of meal options and shopping.
